In the beginning, God created………..FASHION!

STREET STYLE! *sorta* June 13, 2011

It has been so long since I posted, but this is a busy, busy time of the year for me on my job along with some other drama (some good, some not so  good).  Anywhoo, it’s not that I haven’t been taking pictures of outfits or that I didn’t have anything to blog about, it’s  just………………………..*sigh*

Anyway.  Today I took some pics in the street in front of my house,  before going to work.  I threw this on, because today was one of those perfect days (at least in my book), that was sunny, not cold, but not so hot you couldn’t wear a jacket or shrug.  I love these types of days. It allows you to be so creative with your wardrobe.   Now, I wouldn’t say my outfit of the day was that ”creative”, but it allowed me to mix and match, something old and something new.

Blazer-JCPenney (about 3 years ago), Maxi Dress-Old Navy, Sunglasses-Versace @ Macy's

Thong Sandal-Anne Klein @ Macy's

You can’t see my shoes (YAY!!! I love a super long maxi dress!), so here is a pic. *side note* There was a recent pic of LeBron James, that stirred some controversy, because it looked like he had a sixth toe.  This picture of my foot, may stir up some of the same controversy, but know that I don’t have a sixth toe, I just need to get to the shop. Real talk.  LOL!

I also wore my fave silver (or silver tone) jewelry today. My silver bamboo hoop earrings and a rhinestone ring I got a few months back.  I love this ring! It is edgy, cute, different, eye catching.  I forget what kind of bird it is supposed to be, but…….. *shrug*

Rhinestone Ring-ForLove21 *not a great picture*

Ok so,  I will be blogging more, as the school year comes to an end (this is my last week) and I will for sure have some pictures from the cruise I will be going on, the end of this month.   So, toodles!  ;^)

School of Rock! January 25, 2011

Yeah, I titled this post, School of Rock. It’s a stretch, but…..*shrug*  This is just a quick OOTD post of what I wore to work today.  This outfit was inspired by a blogger’s OOTD post I viewed some weeks ago and unfortunately *mega sad face*I can’t remember which blogger it was, so I can’t give proper credit.

She had on the same skirt and I had recently picked up the skirt in the colors black and blue at Macy’s.  I can’t wait until spring, because I want to try a color block thing with the blue skirt.   Anywhoo, I work in the local schools and I try to be different, fun, and cute without pushing the envelope on appropriateness.

You can't really see the ID bracelet, but it is one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. It says MUSIC (how appropriate, now that I think about it *smug look*) and it is made by Harajuku Lovers.

This is my take on her look (I feel so bad, that I can’t remember who’s site it was *mega, mega sad face*). *side note* I have been playing with the computer and image effects on my pics, but what I realized today is that I am really trying to hide my disgust with the fact that my hair is not………………………………..UGH!  I hate my hair right now. So, my pics are in sepia tones. Yada, yada, yada.  TTYL!

Today was my first day back at my church, since my return from Miami.  I wore something black, comfortable and I think……simply chic.  *side note* The latest edition of People StyleWatch says, pearls, pearls, and more pearls are so last season, but I beg to differ!

Here are my OOTD pics for Sunday, January 23, 2011.  You will notice some of the photos are cropped. My hair was on the ziggity boom, so……………you know how it is. LOL!  TTYL!

Chesty LaRue! LOL! LOL! LOL!

I LOVE BAUBLES!!!

One of these days, I will learn how to pose.

Just Doing Me Day October 26, 2010

Sometimes, you need to just take a day for yourself; do you.  That was my day today.  *singing* Nails done, hair done, everything did.  I’m fancy, huh!

I’ve been buying a lot of accessories lately.  Chandelier earrings are at the top of the list, so I have been wearing my hair in a simple ponytail, to showcase the earrings.  I have just really been in a big, gawdy, bling, bling,  mood this fall.  I am feeling the sequins, pearls, stones, flowers, gold, etc. and ForLove21 satisfies my craving for assorted baubles.  My daughter introduced me to the Forever21 accessory store and I LOVEEEE (pronounced lovey)!!!!!!!  I make it my business to shop the thrift stores and resale shops for cute accessories, also.

Now. *sigh* I am kicking myself, because I didn”t get these cute star-shaped stud earrings today at the *wait for it* ………………………beauty supply.  You can find some of the cutest crap, I mean accessories, at the beauty supply.  If you have sensitive skin or you are looking for costume jewelry to pass on to the granddaughters, this ain’t the place to shop.  However, if you are looking for some trendy, just need this for tonight and the office holiday party in 3 weeks accessories, try your local beauty supply store.

I’m going to post a few pictures of some recent purchases, but let me say, I have not got the hang of this posting pics thing yet.  Be patient with me (smiling sweetly, fluttering eyelashes) .
